World of Dungeon's dice mechanic test using 1d6

We'll use Griselda this time. She's in the Sleepy Bytch Tavern and has just picked a fight with a random chap quaffing a beer.

Fang begins with 8 HP, Griselda also 8 HP, Barmaid has 12 HP

Fang throws the table aside and drawing his sword, attempts to slash Griselda across the midriff who tries to duck under it while drawing her stiletto as she rises.

Griselda deftly avoids Fang's inept sworplay and dives headfirst at him raising her deadly stiletto overhead as she does so attempting to drive it into the top of Fang's big, thick skull and thus ending the battle quickly and neatly.

|| 1d6(1) Critical Failure || 1d6(5) Damage || Fang HP 8 || Griselda HP 3 ||

Fang sees her intent and steps leisurely to the side bringing the hilt of his sword down on Griselda's head with a sickening crunch. Barely conscious, she groans in place and remains sprawled face-down while Fang laughs hysterically enjoying himself immensely. He drags her to her feet and throws her down across the nearest table intent on having a little fun with her!

Luckily for the confused and groggy Griselda, Fang is pulled up short by the barmaid who wields a mean club. She attempts to bring it down full on his head from behind using all her strength to do so.

|| 1d6(1) Critical Failure || 1d6(2) Damage || Fang HP 8 || Griselda HP 3 || Barmaid HP 10 ||

Fang bends to place his sword on the floor just as the barmaid swings, completely missing and drawing his wrath. He backhands her catching her full-force and watches with delight as she flies across the tavern and ends up unconscious under a table under the window. He turns back to Griselda just in time for her to knee him in the groin hoping to put him out of action long enough for her to regain the upper hand.

Anyway, let's end it there again. It certainly works better this way. Very fluid gameplay and quite a nice range of results with the action swinging back and forth just like a real fight. I'm content to make use of this method for conflict resolution going forward.

If I have one qualm about the whole solo play thing, it's that no matter what methods I use to play it always takes a fair amount of time to actually write it up and make sure it's formatted in the most pleasing way possible. I'm not sure this is actually something I can do much about, but I'll keep my eye out for any way of improving it. I'm willing to bet that if I recorded this type of gameplay, just spoke it out loud for instance, it would take a tiny fraction of the time to play out.

Still, it is what it is.
